A wedding by the water is not planned like one in the city. These are the six points I settle with you before you sign anything.
When choosing the venue I already make sure there is a covered place for the ceremony and reception where you would be just as happy to celebrate. We make the call together shortly beforehand, based on the forecast.
By the water, the evening is the most beautiful time. I place the ceremony, photos and dinner so that you are outside at sunset and not in the middle of the main course.
There is often a breeze on the shore, and mosquitoes arrive in the evening. It sounds minor, but it decides on hair, stationery, candles and the sound at the ceremony. I plan for both from the start.
A trip across the lake fits nicely into the day, for example between ceremony and party. Then piers and sailing times set the pace, and the schedule has to match.
Not every venue is easy for guests to leave late at night. Shuttle, rooms nearby or the last train: we sort that out early so nobody has to watch the clock.
Venues right on the water are sought after, and there are only a few summer Saturdays. Allow more than a year of lead time. With a weekday or a different season it often works at shorter notice.

As early as possible. Venues right on the water are in demand, and there are only a few Saturdays in summer. Allow more than a year of lead time. If you are flexible about the day of the week or the season, shorter notice often works too.
Within 30 km of Munich I work at no extra charge. For longer distances I charge €0.60 per kilometre. If your venue is already set, travel is included in your quote. If you are still looking, I calculate it as soon as the venue is chosen.
